Dr. Abdulrahman Alubaid

Dr. Abdulrahman Alubaid is a well-known figure in the industrial sector in Saudi Arabia. Dr. Albulid’s experience spans over 35+ years in the industrial sector. After SABIC, as executive vice president, Dr. Alubaid founded and established SADIG to strategically focus on developing downstream and specialty industries in the Kingdom. Throughout his career he has forged many strategic alliances and ties internationally and locally with leading corporations and within private, public, academic, and governmental circles. Dr. Alubaid has chaired and was a member of boards and committees including SABIC affiliates, SIPCHEM technology advisory, Local content, and Government procurement (LCGP), Saudi Standards, Metrology, and Quality organization (SASO).

In public sector he participated actively in different committees in Riyadh chamber of commerce and national chamber of commerce (Federation of Saudi Chambers) as Chairman of the national industrial committee, lead of offset program team, and many other committee including Riyadh industrial committee, national consulting committee and other private and public organization. He also holds advisory roles for government, local and international companies and organizations.

His academic legacy includes a past faculty position at King Saud University and advisory roles for different organizations such as KAUST. Dr. Al-Ubaid earned his PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
